The Swedish manufacturer from the city of Väderstad is known for the high quality of machines and of the parts these are made of. One of the company's mottoes was first spoken years ago by its founder, Rune Stark, namely: “Make things last”, as a reflection of the fact that it was at the forefront in terms of quality and performance. Its own production of wear parts is unique on the market and grants the construction company Väderstad full control over the process.
The machines, their components, but also properties such as materials’ susceptibility to corrosion, reactions to contact with fertilizers and moisture are extensively tested. All forged connections are tested on the vibrating stands, while disks and skates wear is measured in seeding laboratories. The final assembled machines are driven, lap after lap, in a granite quarry, where they are tested for durability. Under these conditions the machines suffer much more than they will ever suffer in real life on farms, to quickly detect the weaknesses that are then remedied. This results in longer life, which means good savings for end-customers. The high confidence in the quality of these seeding equipments was also reflected by the years of warranty granted from the beginning by the manufacturer. This means that the farmers could feel safe about their investment.
